Ces autochromes ont été photographiés par Leon Gimpel. Ils datent tous de la fin des années 1925/1930. Journaliste à l’Illustration celui ci sera un grand adepte de l’autochrome qu’il utilisera dans le cadre de nombreux reportages. Il sera aussi l’un des initiateurs de la vulgarisation scientifique par l’image.

These stunning ‘autochromes’ were photographed by Leon Gimpel. They all date from the late 1920s. Gimple was a Journalist at ‘L’Illustration’, where he became a primary proponent of the Autochrome photography technique, using it in many of his articles. He would go on to become a pioneer of popular science in the field of imagery.
